"Why is Bet9ja not working?" It's the most searched troubleshooting query among Nigerian bettors. And the answer is rarely "Bet9ja is down."
In most cases, the issue is on your end: browser cache, network problems, or account-level blocks. Here are 10 proven fixes for the most common Bet9ja issues.

Bet9ja Site Maintenance: What Happens to Your Bets and Money
When Bet9ja is under maintenance, the site sends you to maintenance.bet9ja.com. On 10 October 2026 that page read "Site Maintenance In Progress" and "The site will be back online shortly", with a button to check whether the main site is back.
Bet9ja does not publish a typical maintenance duration. The holding page gives no time, and the General Terms make no promise of uninterrupted service.
Open bets during maintenance

Cash out during maintenance
Cash out will not be available while the site is offline. Bet9ja's Cash Out terms say it can suspend the feature at any time, and bets then "stand as originally placed".
Pending withdrawals during maintenance

Bet9ja App Not Working
The Bet9ja Android APK can crash or freeze, especially after system updates. Here's how to fix it:
Fix 5: Update the App

- ✓ Check your username: Bet9ja uses your username (not email) to log in. Find it via your User ID.
