How to Withdraw from Bet9ja to Your Bank Account in 8 Steps

These are the steps from Bet9ja's own How to Withdraw page^[1]. I followed the same menu names on the mobile site in October 2026.

1. Log in and choose Withdraw from the My Account menu.
2. Check that the bank account holder name matches your Bet9ja registration details. A mismatch suspends the account until ID and a bank statement are verified.
3. Go to Manage Bank Account and select Add Bank Account. Bet9ja asks you to verify your account first.
4. Fill in your bank details accurately.
5. Open Withdrawal, type the amount and pick the bank account from the list.
6. Click Make Withdrawal. The minimum is ₦1,000.
7. Choose SMS or email to receive your one-time password.
8. Enter the OTP. Your request is now submitted.

Bank Transfer Is the Only Withdrawal Method

Bet9ja says it plainly: "No other payment methods can be used to withdraw the funds."^[1] The General Terms repeat that withdrawals go into the bank account registered under your account^[3].

OPay, PalmPay and USSD appear on Bet9ja's deposit list, not as withdrawal methods. If your OPay or PalmPay account has its own bank account number, you would add it like any bank account. Bet9ja does not describe that as a separate method.

Bet9ja Withdrawal Time: Up to 5 Banking Days

Bet9ja's General Terms say withdrawals are "generally processed within 5 banking days, subject to verification process which may apply"^[3]. Bet9ja accepts no liability for delays caused by the payment provider.

Bet9ja does not publish a minute-by-minute time for each bank. Many requests land much faster, but we do not print speeds Bet9ja has not stated.

To check progress, open the withdrawal in your Account Statement^[4].

Minimum and Maximum Withdrawal on Bet9ja

The minimum withdrawal is ₦1,000^[1]. Bet9ja does not publish a maximum withdrawal per request, per day or per month.

Large requests can trigger extra checks. Bet9ja may ask for ID (front and back) and other documents at withdrawal^[3].

4 Rules That Block a Bet9ja Withdrawal

1. Unplayed deposits

Deposits made after 13 January 2025 can only be used for betting and cannot be withdrawn unplayed^[3]. Only your cash balance from winnings is withdrawable.

2. Bonus funds still under wagering

Bonus money is not cash. The sports welcome bonus must be wagered 20 times at 3.00+ odds within 30 days, and the casino bonus 100 times within 7 days^[5]. Read the Bet9ja bonus terms for the full clauses.

3. Name or ownership mismatch

Bet9ja can reject a withdrawal if it cannot confirm you own the payment method^[3].

4. Pending verification

Bet9ja may suspend withdrawals until verification checks finish^[3]. Complete KYC verification before your first request.

Common Withdrawal Errors and Fixes

• Amount rejected: it is below ₦1,000, or more than your withdrawable cash balance.
• No OTP arrived: request it again by the other channel (SMS or email).
• Bank account will not add: verify your Bet9ja account first, then re-enter the details.
• Request still pending: check your Account Statement, then follow Bet9ja's pending transaction guide^[6] or contact Bet9ja customer care.
• Site will not load: see why Bet9ja is not working.

Lagos State 5% Withholding Tax on Winnings

In February 2026 Lagos State introduced a 5% withholding tax on betting winnings, remitted to the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service^[7]. A ₦100,000 win in Lagos pays ₦95,000 after the deduction.

Bet9ja itself charges no withdrawal fee^[2]. The tax is a separate state levy on winnings.
